The South Carolina Gastroenterology Association celebrated our 10 year anninversary in 2010. 

The purpose of the South Caraolina Gastroenterology Association (SCGA) is to: promote the digestive health of South Carolinians, to foster the development and fellowship of physicians and medical professionals who have similar interests in the practice of gastroenterology and endoscopy and to maintain the highest standard of clinical practice in the field of gastroenterology and endoscopy.

We have three membership categories: Active, Trainee and Allied health.  The SCGA also has a corporate membership program for our industry partners. 

In 2010 the SCGA established a 501(c)(3) entity, entitled the SCGA Foundation. SCGA members are encouraged to keep the SCGA Foundation in mind as you plan ahead for your charitable giving in 2011 and 2012. Additionally, the establishment of the SCGA Foundation allows our Corporate Partners to donate unrestricted funds. Please inform and encourage any outside/corporate partners you work with about the SCGA Foundation and the donation opportunities it presents.

Funds received by the Foundation will be used to support the Association’s statewide efforts, including colorectal cancer screening programs and public awareness campaigns.
